Barangay Traciano

In the year 1940, a war started here in the Philippines between the Japanese and the Spanish. In a place called Sitio Agsalay or Salay, Tan Serapin Advincula was captured and killed by the Japanese soldiers. The person who managed his vast land was his son, Ruperto Advincula, along with his wife Nina Advincula and their children Nito, Nilo, and Nene. However, one day, Ruperto Advincula also passed away, and his wife continued to manage the land.

Then came the government’s Land Reform Program, and the land was distributed to the farmers, who were given a Certificate of Land Transfer (CLT).

The name ‘Traciano’ originated from the ancestors of the Advincula family. It came from the names of the couple Tasing and Ciano, and from then on, it was called Barangay Traciano.
